As a blogger, there’s an ongoing obligation to create fresh and inspiring content, and when it comes to fashion blogging, that often means feeling pressured to come up with new and unique outfits to keep up with the season’s latest trends. Fortunately, I enjoy the process of shopping and styling outfits for the most part, but I also appreciate a more realistic approach to fashion – one that involves reusing existing pieces that can be reworked into a variety of outfits again and again.

For starters, most of us don’t have the budget or the energy to come up with a new outfits every day, and even if we did, we’d probably lack the closet space to accommodate them. So coming up with different ways to style the pieces we do own is the best option, and the reason you’ll often see me repeating many of my favorite pieces here on the blog. I’ve featured this draped trench coat before (here and here), these jeans and tote (most recently worn together here), and these mules with more looks than I can remember, and it shows just how versatile these pieces can be. In other words, this certainly isn’t the first time you’ve seen them, and it probably won’t be the last either.
