A New Take On An Old Favorite

Soft Trench Coat I Adorned With Love

Trench Coat: ASOS (sold out, similar here), Tank: BLK DNM, Bralette: Eberjey, Jeans: Citizens of Humanity, Boots: Express (similar here and here), Purse: Old Navy, Nail Polish: Essie in “Mink Muffs”

A trench coat is one of those wardrobe staples that every girl should invest in. I used to believe that wasn’t true for those of us who live in warmer climates, but I’m now realizing how very wrong I was. After seeing the variety of ways these coats can be styled, I’ve changed my mind. They look just as good paired with a skirt or dress for lighter use as they do layered over jeans for cooler days. They’re popping up everywhere this season, and I’m a huge fan of the slouchy, draped styles (like this one) that feel like a mix between a robe and a coat. I’d love to add a few different styles and colors to my wardrobe this season and thought this one from Asos was the perfect place to start. It’s slightly different from the traditional tan trench coat you might wear in the rain, and it’s also much softer. I’m still on the hunt for one more suited for rainy weather, but this one was the perfect shield against the chilly air during my visit to San Francisco last week.

Thank you! It really is so effortless. I wear it just as much around the house (if not more) as I do outside. It’s the best.
