It’s odd to think that less than a week ago I was in Thailand practically living in bathing suits, and here I am just a few days later bundled up in sweaters. It’s never easy returning home after a vacation, especially when trading tropical beach days for cold weather. But arriving home to all of the festive holiday decorations has made the transition much easier. I always say winter is my least favorite season, but as soon as the holidays roll around, I’m reminded of how much I actually do enjoy this time of year – the pretty lights and decorations, the scent of fresh pine permeating the air, Christmas music and holiday movies on repeat, and extra time with friends and family – not to mention that it becomes socially acceptable to swap coffee for hot chocolate. And I love that the cold weather serves as an added excuse to lounge around in comfortable clothing and indulge in good food – two things I excel at.
I picked this bomber jacket up before my trip to Thailand, so this is the first week I’ve really gotten a chance to wear it. I’m smitten. You might remember this blush bomber from summer? Well, I wear that one so regularly that I decided it was wise to invest in a second one. Who What Wear has been killing it with their latest Target collection, and this piece is no exception. You wouldn’t know it from the exterior, but its got a lightly padded interior that does a great job of keeping you warm. And despite the extra insulation, it’s still fitted, which keeps it from looking too utilitarian. When I really love an item, I can’t help but want it in every color, so it’s very possible I’ll acquire a rainbow of bombers before the end of the year.
