I’m all for black-on-black lately. It’s slimming, complements every skin tone, and goes with nearly everything. While the color is simple in theory, it can quickly become dull when not approached strategically, so I always incorporate a mixture of fabrics and textures to keep things from looking one-dimensional. This skirt in particular is one of my favorites because of its leather-like fabric and quilted detailing, which add a bit of edge while still remaining chic. The less-edgy conservative side of me opted to soften the look even further by pairing the skirt with this cozy sweater and a few delicate gold accents.
