One of my favorite cafes in Santa Monica adorns each table with a cute pastel colored vase. They’re usually filled with whatever flowers are in season (as seen here), and I’ve always loved the pop of color and charm they bring to the table. In an effort to do the same for my apartment, I decided to create some of my own. I originally envisioned a mixture of white and peach ranunculus to complement the mint, but when I saw these sweet dahlias at the farmers market, I couldn’t pass them up. They would be perfect for an outdoor table setting during warmer months, and look just as cute as accent pieces on shelves and tables around the house.
1. Using the brush, apply the first layer of paint to the outside of each bottle (the first layer will look streaky, but the additional layer will create a more even finish). Let paint dry completely.
2. Apply an additional coat of paint to the outside of each bottle and let paint dry completely.
3. Once dry, fill bottles with water and flowers of your choice.
