The last few weeks have felt numbingly cold (at least by LA standards), and I’ve entered full hibernation mode, limiting my activities to movie watching, hot chocolate drinking, and snuggling up with my boyfriend’s new kitten, Oliver, who has stolen my heart ever since we took him home from the shelter. Luckily, this past weekend provided a bit of relief with temperatures in the high 70s and I finally parted ways with my cozy apartment to do some Christmas shopping. It was too warm for heavy sweaters, so I turned to this outfit for easy layering since I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve been wearing this Madewell sweater often (and recently gave in to a second version in white since I love it so much), so I was happy to switch the look up by adding another favorite staple of mine – this military jacket, which has become one of the most versatile pieces I own. It pairs just as well over dainty summer dresses as it does with heavier boots and sweaters in cooler temperatures. It’s my favorite piece to throw on for days that require light coverage like this past weekend.
