Minus The Leather

H&M Blouse, ASOS Leggings In Leather Look, Marc By Marc Jacobs Purse, Express Booties (on sale here!), Madewell Bangles

If you told me there’d come a day where I sported leather (or faux leather in this case) pants, I wouldn’t have believed you. I have a hard time shaking my association of biker chicks when it comes to all things leather, but after acknowledging their potential to be undeniably chic, I took the plunge last year, bought a pair, and haven’t looked back. I can now report that I am amazed at how much use I get out of them with their ability to accommodate nearly any occasion, just by being dressed up or down. I initially envisioned them for nighttime outings, but have found they’re just as wearable during the day, especially because of how comfortable they are.

I just sported my first pair of leather leggings this past Friday for part 1 of my birthday bash. I was hesitant like you at first… but I’m so glad I did. They are so chic compared to flat black leggings or jeans.. I loved them! I’ll be posting on them as soon as the birthday celebrations are over 🙂

I couldn’t agree more, Amanda. Definitely my new favorite way to add a little bit of edge to an otherwise basic outfit. Can’t wait to see how you styled yours! Hope you have a great birthday!

Do you feel like a rockstar every time you wear these? It makes me so happy that leather is in style right now, it adds such an awesome edge to a really feminine outfit.

I love leather anything, probably because of the biker chick connotation, unlike you.:D But leather pants (or leggings) can look really stylish and sleek which you’ve proven beautifully, babe. You look great!

Thank you, you’re so sweet! There’s certainly nothing wrong with the biker chick look. I’d be a much bigger fan if I were able to pull it off, but I’m pretty sure no one would take me seriously.

You look great in this outfit! I love the shiny leggings and the white shirt, black and white is always a good combination. I found your blog from a comment you just left on Emily’s apartment post and you seemed really nice, so I’m glad I found it! I am hoping you might like my blog too as I love cats (I have 5) and am sentimental too, like it seems you are! It would be good if you could stop by too! I’m definitely going to bookmark yours! 😀 😀
