The Perfect Key Lime Pie

The perfect key lime pie recipe I Adorned With Love

One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Monica, Blue Plate Oysterette, serves some of the best key lime pie I’ve ever tasted. It’s a tricky dessert that can be too tart and bitter or too sweet and rich, but from the creamy filling to the crunchy crust, Blue Plate gets it just right. Although I practically begged, they weren’t willing to share their winning recipe, so I set out in search of the closest match I could find. This recipe delivers on all fronts and only requires a few minutes in the oven, so you can enjoy it almost immediately, making it perfect for those of us who have no self-control when it comes to our sweet tooth.

It’s become one of mine too, which is funny because I feel like so many people don’t love it for some reason. Oh well, more for us! 😉

Aw, thank you! I alternate between a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with a 50mm 1.8 lens, and a Canon EOS 6D with a 50mm 1.4 lens. (This post was shot with the Canon Rebel + the 50mm 1.8 lens).
